Some cities/ villages require permits for tree removals on private property. We would let you know during the free estimate if a permit is required. If so, the owner of the property would have to obtain the permit at their village/city office as some may require special documentation such a plat of survey. Some cities offer the option to submit the permit application online via their website.
Yes.
License: Business licenses are essentially permits issued by government agencies that allow companies to conduct business within their jurisdiction. This usually entails submitting an annual application, proof of insurance and pay a fee. If your city/village is one that requires a license we will renew ours if we haven't already. This process can usually be completed within 1-2 business days.
Insurance: We are insured. We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
Bonded: Bonding is a form of insurance sometimes required by some cities/villages. This is obtained and provided directly to those cities/villages.
No two quotes are the same. Meaning the prices vary greatly depending on various factors that can only be determined by providing an in person estimate. These factors can include the tree’s size, height, type of tree, location, and tree condition.
Tree size/ height/type of tree
The bigger the tree is the higher the cost can be.
The height of the tree may require us to use special equipment such as a crane in which we would need to rent as we only need one on rare occasions.
The type of tree can also impact the time it would take to remove the tree. For example, for the most part, pine trees are easier to remove than maple trees.
Tree location:
Is the tree close to a structure or power lines? This would impact what equipment we can use and how easy/difficult it will be to remove. Is the tree accessible with our bucket truck or do we have to climb it? Climbing it would make it more labor intensive and time consuming therefore increasing the price.
Tree conditon:
If it's dead we would not be able to climb it and would have to take special precautions to ensure our safety and the safety of our clients and their property. Is the tree on top of power lines, roof or another structure? Like in the case of emergency situations caused by high winds/storms.
We would need the estimate signed and submitted via text or email as well as the deposit if indicated on the estimate. If a permit is needed, it must be obtained prior to the work being scheduled. If applicable, please let us know once the permit is approved. We will then notify you once we are able to add you to the schedule.
We only schedule one week at a time to try to limit changes to the schedule due to the weather or any other unforseen issues. However, due to the line of work we do, we are at the mercy of the weather. We do our best to try to be accommodating and flexible with scheduling whenever possible. For the most part we schedule the jobs in the order that they are confirmed by the client when signed contracts & deposits are received. With the exception of emergency jobs that take priority. Especially when dealing with dangerous situations such as trees falling on properties etc. The safety of our crew and our clients is a top priority. Therefore, sometimes we are not able to work during hazardous conditions such as extreme heat or high wind situations. We always appreciate your understanding.
We will clean up all branches, bushes, shrubs and tree debris resulting from the work listed on the contract with the exception of the stump grinding debris unless otherwise noted on the contract.
Stump grinding debris (mulch created from grinding down the stump) can be removed for an added fee. If this option is not purchased it is left in the area it was created. The stump grinding debris makes for great organic mulch and can serve as a natural fertilizer.
Logs/trunks can be left to serve as firewood upon request.
General tree trimming is the process of removing dead, diseased, or overgrown branches and foliage from a tree to improve its health, appearance, and safety.
The stump of the tree is the bottom portion of the trunk that goes into the ground. The removal of the stump is not always included unless specified in the contract. That is because the stump removal requires the use of other equipment such as a stump grinder or other tools depending on the specific situation. Sometimes the stump is too close to a structure not allowing enough space for the stump grinder to be able to safely remove it. Therefore, we would only be able to cut the tree as close to the ground as we deem safe which would be called tree removal without stump. Other reasons for the stump not being included can be due to the clients preference or for cost savings to the client.
Stump grinding is the process of removing a tree stump by grinding it into small chips using a specialized machine called a stump grinder. The stump grinder goes about a foot into the ground. The stump grinding debris makes for great organic mulch and can serve as a natural fertilizer.
Tree removal aftercare is an optional service for an added fee when a tree is removed with a stump. This service includes the removal of the mulch created from stump grinding, adding top soil to cover the hole from the tree removal and adding grass seed or sod. The cost is determined by how much mulch is needed to be removed and wether grass seed or sod (more expensive) is chosen as well as the size of the area that aftercare will be applied to.
